Hi,

Great work there; it seems like the tests that are being developed would benefit from being integrated in the W3C test suite for HTML5; have you looked at that?

For some context on the framework W3C uses, see http://www.w3.org/2008/webapps/wiki/Harness

Hey Dom,

That's interesting.
Can you give us some more context?
Would you like us to submit tests to the HTML5 WG?
If we do translate some tests to Harness, where do we submit them?
I'm also not sure all of our tests are valuable to you since we are both testing for theory and practice.

Cheers.

PS: I'm hanging out at #webapps as "yvg" sometimes if you'd like to discuss in real time.

Good question re theory vs practice — I guess I don't have a generic answer to that, but I assume many of the "in practice" tests would also be useful and accepted. The specific answers might depend on the specific test cases (and would be obtained through the review process), but you may want to ask the generic question to the relevant list: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-html-testsuite/

Otherwise, yes, I'm thinking that it would be useful to submit tests to the HTML WG; submitting tests is described there:
http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/Testing/Submission/

Useful information on test authoring:
http://www.w3.org/html/wg/wiki/Testing/Authoring/

I'm happy to provide assistance as needed (and to the best of my availabilities)
