VL53L4CD refuses to connect

Hardware:

• SparkFun Qwiic Pocket Development Board - ESP32-C6
• SparkFun Distance Sensor - 1.3 Meter, VL53L4CD (Qwiic)

Connected with Qwiic cable, powered via USBC on C6 module.

I have tried example 1 and 2

Both compile fine but result in the following on the terminal:

E (100) i2c.master: i2c_master_transmit_receive(1248): I2C transSensor failed to begin. Please check wiring. Freezing...

All lights are on the sensor module but no matter what I do I can't get it to communicate.

I have used this Qwiic cable to test other modules using a ESP32-S3 with no issues. But I have not tried this module with the ESP32-S3.

Just in case I tried to manually set a I2C frequency and pins:

  Wire.begin(6, 7);

  Serial.begin(115200);
  Serial.println("VL53L1X Qwiic Test");

  if (distanceSensor.begin(Wire) != 0) //Begin returns 0 on a good init

And now it works.

So yea, idk if this will be valuable to anyone else but that took me way to long to notice.
