It would be helpful to show the codegate version in the service statement, someone new might want to raise a bug and has not yet discovered the CLI.
BTW, I was looking at open-webui (local model chat tool) and they do a pretty cool thing when you get a little box come up in the bottom right

technically, we are showing it, but it is kinda hidden under this hover thing. which is not ideal.
the notification seems like a cool idea. Let's see what @jtenniswood thinks about this issue

I suppose we should also always show the current version. And showing a notification when the user opens the dashboard is also a good idea

Description
