Hi Stefan!

  1. Is there a link listing all valid country codes for DVB-C ?
My interest is in scanning via tvheadend, DVB-C in countries where cable tv is available but the country code is not available. Hence I would try scanning country codes that might be close enough in terms of transponder frequencies.

Can I also do a blind scan for such non listed countries ? Command line?

  1. Is it possible to use a generic $25 Chinese dvb-s2 satellite receiver with PVR USB port to stream to VLC on a PC?
Such generic pvr ports allow you to record a TV channel on a USB stick.
Example: ALi or GX660** MCU 32MB RAM
    (See item description below:
    https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKqUfei )

So does this mean we don't need to install any firmware/ drivers on Linux/ Windows PC for such a dvb-s2 satellite receiver? How can we find out either way?

Are there any links you can suggest for analyzing such generic satellite receivers for purposes of streaming TS mux to VLC/ tvheadend ?

Unluckily the only link I found is incomplete:

Thanks 😊
Shippy.
