Allow deploying with (private) ALB

I'm thinking we want to support both with and without GW and with/without ALB but... perhaps do an analysis of tradeoffs.

GW can be expensive and running the service with an ALB+lambdas in a private VPC is likely going to cover alot of ground.

Likely want to preserve the necessary interface for GW as far as "body" and all that stuff
