Currently the first guest for the ion population in the NLTE solver is based on the assumption that all ions are singly ionized.
We could provide other ways for the first guess, such as using the one-iteration results of the linearized solver (LU deposition), which only needs initial value for electron density.
We could also provide various ways for the first guess and cycle through these if one of them fails.
