Is it in plans to add direct LDAP support for auth (like Grafana has)?

Not at present, the best way to do this today would be to stand up something like Dex for OIDC with LDAP as the backend: https://dexidp.io/

That said, the auth system was built to be extendable so it's not out of the question.
