Can I also suggest a possible rename?

Acts-as-taggable-array-on is a really hard name to remember, 5 words. I'm using this gem actively and can't really recall this name correctly.

taggable array gem seems empty on rubygems.org. We can probably publish two similar gems with different names? People that use acts-as-taggable-array-on will keep doing that, but I can successfully rename everything to simpler taggable_array :categories ;-)

Even removing one word would be easier to remember, acts-as-taggable-array.
