3.0.0 in RC Cycle still

I don't see the final tag for https://github.com/tpm2-software/tpm2-pytss/releases/tag/3.0.0-rc0. pypi shows the last release as 2.3.0.

Yeah, somehow it did fail during the tagging or I missed something.
I just want to fix two things before the next release/RC, the failing test on free threaded python, which only shows up sometimes and which I can't reproduce locally and the EK template interface.
And fix the CI/unit test workflows

So the release documentation should capture this, but it doesn't. Once you cut the RC, the ONLY allowed changes are bugs that would drastically affect the release. Adding the EK stuff would be a minor version bump since we add a feature, and the other is a minor bug, for now. So I would look at getting this in a 3.1.0 for both issues or a 3.0.1 for the bug. I can start digging into the free threaded python bug and see if I can duplicate it.

I would make a release target called next and put all tickets and prs on that. I use the description box as a way to add the changelog entries as I merge PRs so.indont have to write it at release, I can just copy paste and not have to look through all the changes and try and summarize them after I forgot what they do.

Yeah that can wait. We probably need to invest a fair amount of time updating our CI images too. I'm doing some of it now.
