I understand that you want to monetize the theme. Fine. Whatever.

But you went and removed the original theme from VS Code entirely. That's just shameful.
I'm maybe missing something super obvious, but why did you do it? Was there really any need or demand to do this, or did you just think you would get a quick bit of cash?

Short answer: We did not remove any extensions.

Long Story: We simply deprecated Material Theme because it was obsolete and not maintained for several years. If the extension is not available on the marketplace, it is because the VS Code marketplace handles deprecated extensions and makes them unavailable even if they still function. It’s their decision, not ours. Every deprecated extension on the marketplace are made unavailable my the vscode team.
