map load count discrepancy

For the map feature, we count the number of times the map loaded using our monitoring system. But this number looks very different from the count from mapbox dashboard.

for context: our metric shows 7k while mapbox dashboard says 42k

here is the snippet we use for counting

 <Map
{...otherProps}
 onLoad={() => {sendEvent(1)}}
 />

does anyone know why i face this issue?

Note: I made sure there is no token abuse.
