[high] more accessible presentation of video #322
Comments
Good idea. Are we doing it and who can implement? |
@shawna-slh just to be clear, do you think we should mimic what is on that Easy Checks page exactly?
|
I think we need to have all of the accessibility available. @iadawn had strong feelings about this. would be good to loop him into discussion of options... |
I have updated Ade's page with this video setup - https://deploy-preview-113--wai-people-use-web.netlify.app/people-use-web/user-stories-one/ |
FYI @shawna-slh @iadawn @JayneSchurick @kakinney the videos in 8 of the 9 user stories have been updated with the new pattern. I have also updated Auditory in Diverse Abilities (which also involved a slight format change to match the user stories.) |
All user stories, Abilities and barriers, and Tools and techniques pages have been updated with videos, with the exception of Ilya, which is TBD. |
@JayneSchurick please look this over while confirming summaries for each story. |
@brianelton looks great! In this case, how about having the transcript always visible without the expand-collapse heading? @iadawn Thoughts? |
@brianelton Kevin agrees. Leave the expand-collapse on the video heading and have it collapsed by default. Remove the expand-collapse from Text Transcript with Description of Visuals (so when the parent heading is expanded, the transcript is always visible). |
I can confirm that the video flow is the same in all of the user stories. I did not make any changes per @shawna-slh above. |
The disclosure widgets around the transcripts have all been removed. |
If we provide the videos in a small form at top, How to provide the more accessible video?
example Easy Checks video has:
Perhaps add that to the bottom of the page under an expand-collapse?
