Unable to scan line barcodes rotated 90 degrees

When scanning line barcodes, the app won't register anything unless the barcode is very close to upright or upside down, basically landscape mode. It will not scan if the barcode is turned 90 degrees or portrait mode.

This can make it difficult or impossible to scan when a barcoded object cannot be moved and physical space/distance does not allow for rotating the phone to compensate.

QR and other matrix codes seem to work fine at any rotation.
