Summary

I think it's something to do with the breadcrumbs. You can see from the screenshot that Zed seems a bit confused. Also when cursoring through the file, it's fine outside this block, then grinds to a halt.

Image

This file in particular makes Zed almost unusable.

Steps to trigger the problem:

  1. Edit the above file.
  2. Enter a "version" block with a lot of versions.

Actual Behavior:

Zed is very slow to the point of being unusable.

Expected Behavior:

No performance impact.

Zed Version and System Specs

Zed: v0.177.5 (Zed Preview)
OS: macOS 15.3.0
Memory: 24 GiB
Architecture: aarch64
