Is your feature request related to a problem?
Way too many modules in the tree for smoke/flares, where they can be easily combined in a single module to minimize spam of the tree.

Solution you'd like:
A simple dialog with two combo boxes to select the type and the subtype of the effect.

Additional context:
From Achilles

I think how the modules are currently organized under the Effects tab is the most optimal solution, no need to put it in another dialog. It doesn't clutter up the tree that much and is fewer clicks.

The only thing I would maybe do is add the smokes, flares and chem lights to the effects tab, but I think making those another dialog selection would be more of an inconvenience than how it is currently set up.

The Achilles Spawn Effect never worked for my group. Granted I was too lazy to create an issue. I do prefer the current method though. It's better for beginners, search-friendly, and just better UX imo.

Seems like this topic is quite controversial and a CBA setting would be ideal but then you'd need to edit the config, but perhaps this is avoidable by using a function to render the module tree with the applied module and hide the old ones?
