Unable to build zephyr/samples/net/wifi/shell on rpi pico w

updated everything to head, west blobs fetch hal_infineon, then west build -p -b rpi_pico/rp2040/w zephyr/samples/net/wifi/shell, then error /home/grapland/zephyrproject/zephyr/drivers/wifi/infineon/airoc_whd_hal_spi.c:77: undefined reference to 'whd_bus_spi_attach'

used to be good 1 month ago with the HEAD code at that time.

Perhaps you also need to do west update

actually I also tried to setup the whole zephyr dev env from the scratch at a clean machine, so everything should be on head but this case is still broken.

I can confirm this issue, I also tried a full clean install and have tried a number of work arounds but it comes back down to the error above. I believe this was working with 4.0 release, but wanted to move to 4.1 for some MQTT-SN updates. I can try to go back to 4.0 and see if I run into the same issue.

I just confirmed version 4.0 builds as expected.

So just a update, out of the box this looks like it is good, compiles with no errors but there is no network interface found when booting. It looks like the structure for the rp2040/w in version 4.0.0 VS 4.1.0 , this seems like a different problem.

As note this is a fresh install of 4.0 and only modifications done to the shell sample was to add a overlay for USB ACM and add the init code in main:

I have not done this before either, but will try. it may take me some time because I think I will go back to my working 3.7 build and the non core wifi driver just so I can get my system up and running again.
