Searching for the Truth, the Beauty, the Goodness and ultimately, εὐδαιμονία.
I'm a Mechatronics Engineer (CEFET-MG, 2021) with a postgraduate degree in Software Engineering and Architecture (FIA Business School, 2024).
Currently, I work as a Software Engineer focused on functional programming, web development, distributed systems and cloud infrastructure. I enjoy building robust, secure and maintainable systems using F# and .NET, combining solid engineering with elegant design.
Beyond individual contribution, I’ve also led a small DevSecOps team, responsible for cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, reliability, and FinOps at a startup. There, I also gave short presentations to promote security awareness within the company — sessions we called “Sec Talks.”
Why F#? Because:
- There's a strong company backing it (Microsoft);
- It's built on top of a solid platform that is already battle proved (.NET), and it's evolving, constantly being updated and enhanced;
- Great ecosystem (tools and people);
- Powerful type system (make illegal states unrepresentable - Effective ML Revisited);
- Decent performance (F# for Performance-Critical Code, by Matthew Crews).
If you'd like to know more about F#'s history, check The Early History of F# from Don Syme.
I'm passionate about technology, engineering, classical philosophy and theology. When not studying those topics, I enjoy contributing to open-source projects.
