Busy Week Aug 2024 updates

• Reminder to sign up if you haven't! Last week of August, hosted by Marcin in Olzstyn. Link to be sent around.
• for the Omega hotel there is a discount for university guests; you can include a code in your email to the hotel to get the discount. This will be included in the email. If you need help you can ask Marcin but we recommend you email them directly (to get the discount there's no way to do it with their online booking system).
• James: is there a deadline for registering? Currently 19 July so we can sort out groups well in advance of the busy week.

Software updates

• pipelines: from Matthijs - regarding A-team clipping. To remind everyone, there's now a DP3 step that replaces the Ateamclipper.py script, and doees the predict on a coarser frequency and time grid and then writes out flag in one go. Currently being reviewed by the DP3 team and once that's merged will coordinate with Frits to get it added to flocs!

Polarisation

• No one present working on polarisation

LoTSS reprocessing

• Calibrators are done! A big thanks to those who helped out: Neal, Roland, Martin, Ethan, and James
• Fields in H-ATLAS are started (Jonny, Leah) and in varying state of progress

Technical Round Table

• Leah spent a couple weeks with Cyril in Paris working towards using DDFacet/killMS to do long baseline calibration. This is promising but there are some issues with killMS that need to be sorted first. Hopefully can be a group at the busy week.
