I just pushed a PR to the origin XAPX00 library adding support for serial URLs. Since this uses a heavily modified version of the library, I'm sending the change here as well.

The
comPortvariable should continue to work with existing serial ports/dev/ttyXXXbut should also now acceptsocket://IP:PORTas a connection method. This is super useful in situations where xapman is running on a VM or other piece of infrastructure without direct serial access and allows for connecting to networked serial ports.
