Repository Description

This repository provides a fully working installation of the OpenFOAM 2.4.0 software suite with the standard mdFoam and dsmcFoam applications replaced by newer versions produced by the Micro& Nano Flows (MNF) group as a continuation of their original work, named mdFoam+ and dsmcFoam+ respectively.

mdFoam+ and dsmcFoam+ are designed to add a variety of new and more robust MD and DSMC methodologies as well as more modern software designs with improved serial and parallel performance.

The codes form the basis of much of the MNF group's research activities and as such are released as an open-source software project in the hope that they prove useful for others performing similar research and that they can form the basis of new collaborative efforts in the future. The MNF group welcomes input and ideas into the project either by direct inclusion of new or updated software or collaborative communication.

This software is released with no promise of performance or functionality in the hope that it is useful for others as a basis for their research.
