OWLKb

This application underpins most of the other applications in this set. Its purpose is to read and manipulate the OWL files generated from the Protege editing software. It is a wrapper for the OWLAPI, developed and maintained by the University of Manchester. The purpose of the wrapper is to simplify the interaction with the OWLAPI and use labeling more familiar to the developers on the NCIEVS project. It also has functions to output metrics about the loaded vocabulary, used for QA.

Another important dependency is Lexical Tools (lvg), which is used to handle unicode and ascii within the data.

All user interactions occur with the OWLKb class, obfuscating the complex work of the OWLAPI.
