########### This project is deprecated : I am working on a more advanced one

In GMWarn, the idea was to write several plugins, which could do simple tests (read below), I am writing a new plugin which is more generic: it contains a set of simple tests which can be parameterize by the user by giving arguments. this projet aims to use MELT to create a set of plugin in order to had commonly usefull warning when compiling with GCC.

In order to test thoses plugins, you will need a working version of GCC MELT branch (http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/MiddleEndLispTranslator). You can try with MELT as plugin but you will need some change in the Makefile.

It contain already:
-test_fopen.melt which allows to send a warning when a call to fopen is not followed by a test (to be sure that the given pointer is not null).

-test_notifier_register which is more experimental for now (it has to be tested and improved), it checks that we call the function atomic_notifier_chain_register (comes from the kernel notifier API (http://lxr.linux.no/#linux+v2.6.38/include/linux/notifier.h)) only once on the same object in a function. It has to be tested on real programs.
