Before checking anything in the FAQ, remember that the quest book exists and it contains majority of the information you're looking for, please read it properly.
= Well, did you modify the modpack? Did you remove something? The whole modpack is tied together and if you do that stuff will surely break.
It's very obvious to see if something went wrong, especially when the chat will show u a bunch of errors that were supposed to be not there when you joined the world.
= If anything breaks after adding a new mod or removing an existing one, that's not my problem.
= Never update all the mods manually on your end, some versions are needed to be kept in the older versions.
= Try reinstalling the modpack clean, don't add anything new when reinstalling and try it out if it works, especially in single-player as well.
= Never EVER use a custom map, the whole modpack's gameplay is tied along with lostcities's custom generation, if you play with a custom map you're essentially LOSING everything.
How do you install the modpack? Manual Install or Launcher?
Always use a launcher to install the modpack, don't do it manually, and don't be a hero that destroys the modpack unless you know what you're doing.
Sometimes there can be rare cases where you might need to redownload because of corrupted files, but that usually doesn't happen at all. Unless you modified the modpack.
For the server pack, please don't use any other converter or server pack creator or something, there is already a server pack uploaded up there.
= Nope, they get stronger and spawn more types of variety when you go further away from the spawn point, exceeding 15k blocks is where mutated enemies start to spawn normally outside of Wasteland and more variety of zombies too.
= If you do like more challenges, consider moving out of 15k blocks away from the spawn point and setting a base there.
= Only hordes get stronger with player in-game time.
Try restarting Minecraft, sometimes it happens.
If you want to look for the blaze rod or blazes, look into the quest book, they're in volcanic biomes.
Eat a golden apple, which can be found in hospital, or crafting via specific steps. Read the quest book please.
Yes, Tier 5 masterwork level, but not guaranteed. Please read the quest book again.
There's a grace period of day 1, after that they spawn. Please read the quest book again.
Yes you can, but you cannot reupload the mod pack anywhere else except playing privately with your friends, I don't allow people to use my mod pack and reupload it as their own, even with modifications or slight changes.
No, you can't, we worked hard for the datapack for almost a year and we would like to keep it within this modpack only. In the future, we might split it out as another data pack for the lost cities variant using vanilla blocks if the modpack gets popular.
12. Why is the mod pack laggy despite I have sufficient RAM? Or it show connecting to the server or waiting for the server?
The lag comes from the generation of the city itself, if you haven't been to new chunks and started to explore new places, the game will lag with the generations and it is normal, it'll stop once the chunks are finished generating and going to the same place won't lag anymore.
Use Chunky to pre-generate all the chunks for a smoother experience.
Head to config/globalgamerules-common.toml, set the difficulty = "HARD" from normal to hard. Mining zombie only spawn outside of 10k blocks, while mutated enemies spawn outside of 15k blocks away from spawns.
Head into your world/serverconfig, look into and solcarrot-server.toml to set the resetOnDeath = false
Go to config/globalgamerules-common.toml, enable hardcore to true under [difficulty] category.
Go to your modpack directory, config\enhancedai-common.toml and search for digger zombie then turn it off.
Use Nature's Compass to search for biomesoplenty:wasteland or biomesoplenty:wooded_wasteland, molds have chance to spawn within warehouse or factory chests.
Make sure the plane or helicopter has any type of engine, easiest is to have furnace engine, and then check your keybinding on the Throttle Up/Down in option menu to throttle the engine to start and fly.
It might be ran out of battery, or you changed the keybind, check the quest book for more information.
By default, cities are under uncommon category, but you can tweak it to be full cities except for a few biomes that aren't included. Go to your defaultconfigs in your folder, open lostcities-server.toml and change the selectedProfile to "deceasedcraft_onlycities". For world already created, go to your world/serverconfig/lostcities-server.toml and select the same profile.
Either the LAN mod itself has issue, or there are some mods have issue on LAN, please play with a dedicated server instead.
