This wiki documents the different modules and component of the Accelerator Labs Network Documentation Platform.
Since 2020, the UNDP Accelerator Labs Network has iteratively built a documentation tool (hereafter referred to as the platform) that now runs in four main instances to support its activities. These instances are:
- a learning plans platform, where Accelerator Labs document their workplans, the questions they have, and the insights and learnings they eventually accumulate; more
- a solutions platform, where ideas and existing solutions at different levels of product readiness are documented and shared within the Accelerator Labs Network. Note this platform is supported by another instance of the platform for storing consent information related to sharing ideas and solutions;
- an experiments platform, where Accelerator Labs document the experiments they conduct; and
- an R&D practice platform, where Accelerator Labs document the different tools, principles, theory, and tactics underlining their work.
These are supported by two secondary instances:
- a [contributor] management system (https://consent.sdg-innovation-commons.org/), used for logging into all platforms and for managing contributors
- a [consent] archive(https://consent.sdg-innovation-commons.org/), used primarily to document informed consent to share information on the Solutions platform
The platform has a very modular structure, which enables multi-media documentation on blank sheets (referred to as pads), templated documentation, importing content from excel sheets (for documentation that initially happens outside the platform), archiving files, running documentation campaigns with internal and external contributors, creating collections of documents, creating micro-sites based on collections, exporting data to a variety of formats, as well as API calls for external connections. These features are made available to contributors, either for viewing or for writing, following a modular governance system, based on four levels of user rights. Each instance integrates various documentation modules and implements its own governance structure.
