This PR is the untouched output of versioneer install --vendor.

Fixes #11.

@cfobel It would be nice if you could push a new release to pip with this change ASAP so that downstream projects stop breaking on Python 3.12.

This commit is the untouched output of `versioneer install --vendor`.

@cfobel Please merge this PR as soon as possible so we can all continue using si-prefix! It currently breaks using Python 3..12! Thank you so much!

Hey @shredEngineer, thanks very much for your contribution.

I have been meaning to return to this project to clean up the build and set up CI. I just published version 1.3.3 to PyPI which should support Python 3.7+, including Python 3.12.

Please let me know if you run into any issues. If there are any, perhaps we can revisit this PR.

Thanks @dechamps for providing the PR and thanks to @cfobel for merging! I can confirm that si-prefix now works as intended again, tested with Python 3.12.4. :)
