Use aiohttp to create an async server which connects directly with the bridge, in-process. This begins to illustrate what a future cockpit-ws might look like... For now we have to leave tap-cdp out-of-process, mostly due to the fact that it's not async-safe. Simplify it by removing the parts about spawning a separate test-server. Maybe this is a good chance to explore a different browser automation framework? Lots of tests are now working, but lots are failing...
