This works WAY better for me. Without this fix almost all icons get white/purple -ish etc. background, thin lines disappear. With this fix it works almost as good as on OS X. Screenshot included: http://i.imgur.com/aYFlF4k.png
Also I switched to JRE1.7, but it may not be relevant.
