This project aims at documenting the environmental impacts of graphics cards, and allowing an easy evaluation of the environmental impacts of a graphics card if needed parameters are provided.
The calculator, based on several and generally public parameters of graphics cards, computes and displays through bar plots their environmental impacts through several life-cycle analysis criteria.
This calculator is an auxillary tool to the research paper funded by ADEME on the environmental impacts of generative artificial intelligence training on GPUs, to be published by the end of 2025, and to Falk et al., 2025, "More than Carbon: Cradle-to-Grave environmental impacts of GenAI training on the Nvidia A100 GPU".
