NewsWave is a decentralized, anonymous news-sharing platform that empowers users to share critical information without fear of retaliation. Using blockchain and IPFS technology, the platform ensures secure, tamper-proof, and anonymous content sharing. Integrated with OpenAI for credibility scoring, users can access news reports with trust metrics, while maintaining their privacy.
- Anonymous News Uploading: Users can share text, images, or PDFs without disclosing their identity, ensuring complete privacy.
- Decentralized Storage: All content is stored on IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) for security, ensuring no central authority can modify or delete the content.
- Blockchain Transparency: Metadata (content, credibility score, timestamp) is recorded on the Sepolia testnet for public transparency and verification.
- Credibility Scoring: News content is analyzed by OpenAI’s API, providing a true/false score for credibility without censoring information.
- Public News Feed: All users can access a feed displaying the latest news reports along with credibility scores, timestamps, and anonymous uploader IDs.
- Frontend: React.js, Web3.js
- Backend: Node.js/Express, IPFS, Web3.js, OpenAI API
- Blockchain: Sepolia Testnet (Ethereum)
- Storage: IPFS (Decentralized File Storage)
- Uploading News: Visit the app, and submit news content through the upload form. You can upload text or files, which will be stored on IPFS.
- Viewing News: Browse through the public news feed, where each post displays its content, credibility score, and timestamp.
