By default in Windows 10 you may not have IIS enabled, to check type IIS into Windows search if Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager appears it is already installed:
If Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager doesn't appear follow the steps below to install IIS on your dev machine.
In Windows search type features and click Turn Windows Features On or Off as shown in the screenshot
Depending on what version of Windows you are running HOME or PROFESSIONAL you may get different options, I will provide screenshots for both:
If your web.config has rewrite rules you may run into 500 errors when trying to run your website. This may because the URL Rewrite extension isn't installed. You can find the extension here.
