- Write using plain language
- Follow 18F’s inclusive language style guide
- Write for a non-technical audience.
- Be concise
- Avoid acronyms or jargon
- Use active voice instead of passive voice
- Use descriptive links
- Avoid using footnotes

Use 18F style guide generally and make exceptions as needed (https://guides.18f.gov/content-guide/our-style/) Following this guidance includes:
- Oxford comma
- Em dashes have a single pace on each side
- All bullets start with capital letter
Question for the culture: Follow 18F on bullet terminal punctuation or not? If we don't, and go with unpunctuated bullets, this affects Checklist bullets
