Update the skin weights of the currently selected object with those of a maya skin cluster

- copy the plugin to
%APPDATA%\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.3\scripts\addons
- go to preferences/add-ons and enable the addon
'Import & Update Maya Skin Weights (.json)
- select your mesh, and ensure an armature is assigned
- go to menu 'File > Import > RPM Update Skin Weights (.json)'
