Commits

Updates cosmossdk.io/log from 1.3.1 to 1.4.1

Commits

Updates github.com/bufbuild/buf from 1.30.0 to 1.41.0

Release notes

Sourced from github.com/bufbuild/buf's releases.

v1.41.0

  • Add HTTP/3 support for gRPC with buf curl.
  • Fix issue where errors from protoc plugins may be overwritten when executing plugins in parallel.

v1.40.1

  • Fix issue with buf lint where comment ignores in the shape of // buf:lint:ignore <RULE_ID> <extra comment> were not recognized due to the extra comment.

v1.40.0

  • Add concept of a default lint or breaking rule, which is printed out as a property when running buf config ls-{breaking,lint}-rules. Default rules are those rules which are run if no lint or breaking rules are explicitly configured in your buf.yaml.
  • Rename DEFAULT lint rule category to STANDARD. With the concept of default rules being introduced, having a category named DEFAULT is confusing, as while it happens that all the rules in the DEFAULT lint category are also default rules, the name has become overloaded. As with all buf changes, this change is backwards-compatible: the DEFAULT lint category continues to work, and always will. We recommend changing to STANDARD, however.

v1.39.0

  • Fix git input handling of relative HEAD refs without branch names.
  • Add includes key to module configurations in v2 buf.yaml, accepting a list of directories.
    • If includes is specified, a proto file is considered in the module only if it is in one of the directories specified.
    • If both includes and excludes keys are specified for a module, a proto file is considered part of this module if it is contained in any of the include paths and not in any of the exclude paths.
  • Allow multiple module configurations in the same v2 buf.yaml to have the same directory path.

v1.38.0

  • Add --http3 flag to buf curl which forces buf curl to use HTTP/3 as the transport.
  • Fix issue with directory inputs for v2 workspaces where the specified directory was not itself a path to a module, but contained directories with modules, and the modules would not build.
  • Stop creating empty buf.lock files when buf dep update does not find new dependencies to update and there is no existing buf.lock.
  • Update buf push to push the license file or doc file (e.g. README.md, LICENSE) in the same directory as buf.yaml if a module does not have a license file or doc file in the module's directory.
  • Fix constraints of --path flag for lint and breaking rules to avoid resolving all files within a module. This change can result in a performance improvement for large workspaces.

v1.37.0

  • Add STABLE_PACKAGE_NO_IMPORT_UNSTABLE lint rule which disallows files from stable packages to import files from unstable packages.
  • Fix plugin push failures when pushing an image built with containerd image store.

v1.36.0

  • Add --list-services and --list-methods flags to buf curl, which trigger the command to list known services or methods in the RPC schema, instead of invoking an RPC method.
  • Add clean as a top-level option in buf.gen.yaml, matching the buf generate --clean flag. If set to true, this will delete the directories, jar files, or zip files set to out for each plugin.
  • Fix git input handling of annotated tags.
  • Update buf registry login to complete the login flow in the browser by default. This allows users to login with their browser and have the token automatically provided to the CLI.
  • Add buf registry organization {create, delete, info, update} commands to manage BSR organizations. Remove buf beta registry organization commands.
  • Add buf registry module {create, delete, deprecate, info, undeprecate, update} commands to

Updates github.com/cosmos/ibc-go/v8 from 8.2.0 to 8.5.1

Release notes

Sourced from github.com/cosmos/ibc-go/v8's releases.

v8.5.1

This release fixes a panic that occurred during instantiation of the interchain accounts host keeper when populating the list of all module safe queries and port definitions were not found. The solution implemented is to use the cosmos/gogoproto registry instead of including the entire merged global files registry. Please check the v8.5.1 changelog for more details. Big thanks to @damiannolan for resolving this issue!

To learn more about ibc-go versioning, please read our RELEASES.md.

IMPORTANT: Please read the migration guides for any versions of ibc-go that you might be going through when upgrading to this version. For example: if you upgrade from the IBC module contained in the Cosmos SDK 0.42.0 to SDK v0.50.9 and ibc-go v8.5.1, please follow:

  1. The migration from SDK 0.41.x or 0.42.x to the IBC module in the ibc-go repository based on the SDK v0.44.x.
  2. The migration from ibc-go v1 to v2.
  3. The migration from ibc-go v2 to v3.
  4. The migration from ibc-go v3 to v4.

v8.5.0

We present here a summary of the most relevant changes, please see the v8.5.0 changelog for more details. Please note that this release, as indicated in our release versioning policy, is state machine breaking and requires a coordinated upgrade.

dependencies

  • Cosmos SDK has been bumped to v0.50.9.
  • ics23 has been bumped to v0.11.0.

core/03-connection

  • We have removed from the connection handshake the verification step that guaranteed that the client state and consensus state stored by the light client on the counterparty is a correct representation of the chain and its consensus state. Please check cosmos/ibc#1121 for more details and rationale.

Updates google.golang.org/grpc from 1.65.0 to 1.66.1

Release notes

Sourced from google.golang.org/grpc's releases.

Release 1.66.0

New Features

  • metadata: stabilize ValueFromIncomingContext (#7368)
  • client: stabilize the WaitForStateChange and GetState methods, which were previously experimental. (#7425)
  • xds: Implement ADS flow control mechanism (#7458)
  • balancer/rls: Add metrics for data cache and picker internals (#7484, #7495)
  • xds: LRS load reports now include the total_issued_requests field. (#7544)

Bug Fixes

  • grpc: Clients now return status code INTERNAL instead of UNIMPLEMENTED when the server uses an unsupported compressor. This is consistent with the gRPC compression spec. (#7461)
  • transport: Fix a bug which could result in writes busy looping when the underlying conn.Write returns errors (#7394)
  • client: fix race that could lead to orphaned connections and associated resources. (#7390)
  • xds: use locality from the connected address for load reporting with pick_first (#7378)
    • without this fix, if a priority contains multiple localities with pick_first, load was reported for the wrong locality
  • client: prevent hanging during ClientConn.Close() when the network is unreachable (#7540)

Performance Improvements

  • transport: double buffering is avoided when using an http connect proxy and the target server waits for client to send the first message. (#7424)
  • codec: Implement a new Codec which uses buffer recycling for encoded message (#7356)

Updates google.golang.org/grpc/cmd/protoc-gen-go-grpc from 1.3.0 to 1.5.1

Release notes

Sourced from google.golang.org/grpc/cmd/protoc-gen-go-grpc's releases.

protoc-gen-go-grpc v1.5.1

Dependencies

  • Removed replace directive (needed only for testing), since it is incompatible with go install (#7451).

protoc-gen-go-grpc v1.5.0

Security

  • The generated function Register<Service>Server now panics if the Unimplemented<Service>Server struct is embedded in a way that would otherwise lead to runtime panics if an unimplemented method was called. Users are advised to ensure they are properly embedding the Unimplemented struct for their service, and to regenerate their proto files to confirm. (#7438)
    • Note: "Proper embedding" of the Unimplemented struct means either embedding the struct by value (preferred) or ensuring it is always initialized to a valid pointer. E.g.
struct MyServiceImpl {
pb.UnimplementedMyServiceServer // embedded by value, not pointer
	// .. other struct fields ..
}

New Features

  • Generated code for services will produce streaming method definitions using one of six different generic types (e.g. BidiStreamingServer or ClientStreamingClient) instead of producing complete interfaces and implementations for the streaming methods. This can be disabled by setting use_generic_streams_experimental=false. Please file a bug if you encounter any issues with this behavior. (#7387)

Bug Fixes

  • A period (.) is added to the end of the service interface doc comment to comply with Godoc. (#7392)

protoc-gen-go-grpc v1.4.0

New Features

  • Add an optional implementation of streams using generics (Experimental) (#7057)
    • The new use_generic_stream_experimental=true option will cause the gRPC codegen to use prebuilt generic types to implement client and server stream objects, rather than generating new types and implementations for every RPC method. We intend to transition this to the default behavior in the next release. Please test it and provide any feedback.
    • Special Thanks: @aarongable
  • Copy service comments to interfaces in generated code (#7243)
  • Generated code includes static method gRPC call options for integration with the upcoming OpenTelemetry metrics support (#6960)

Tips

Chat

There are 3 ways to chat with CodeRabbit:

  • Review comments: Directly reply to a review comment made by CodeRabbit. Example:
-- I pushed a fix in commit <commit_id>, please review it.
-- Generate unit testing code for this file.
    • Open a follow-up GitHub issue for this discussion.
  • Files and specific lines of code (under the "Files changed" tab): Tag @coderabbitai in a new review comment at the desired location with your query. Examples:
-- @coderabbitai generate unit testing code for this file.
    -- @coderabbitai modularize this function.
  • PR comments: Tag @coderabbitai in a new PR comment to ask questions about the PR branch. For the best results, please provide a very specific query, as very limited context is provided in this mode. Examples:
-- @coderabbitai generate interesting stats about this repository and render them as a table.
-- @coderabbitai read src/utils.ts and generate unit testing code.
-- @coderabbitai read the files in the src/scheduler package and generate a class diagram using mermaid and a README in the markdown format.
-- @coderabbitai help me debug CodeRabbit configuration file.

Note: Be mindful of the bot's finite context window. It's strongly recommended to break down tasks such as reading entire modules into smaller chunks. For a focused discussion, use review comments to chat about specific files and their changes, instead of using the PR comments.

  • @coderabbitai full review to do a full review from scratch and review all the files again.
  • @coderabbitai summary to regenerate the summary of the PR.
  • @coderabbitai resolve resolve all the CodeRabbit review comments.
  • @coderabbitai configuration to show the current CodeRabbit configuration for the repository.
  • @coderabbitai help to get help.

Other keywords and placeholders

  • Add @coderabbitai ignore anywhere in the PR description to prevent this PR from being reviewed.
  • Add @coderabbitai summary to generate the high-level summary at a specific location in the PR description.
  • Add @coderabbitai anywhere in the PR title to generate the title automatically.

CodeRabbit Configuration File (.coderabbit.yaml)

  • You can programmatically configure CodeRabbit by adding a .coderabbit.yaml file to the root of your repository.
  • Please see the configuration documentation for more information.
  • If your editor has YAML language server enabled, you can add the path at the top of this file to enable auto-completion and validation: # yaml-language-server: $schema=https://coderabbit.ai/integrations/schema.v2.json

Looks like these dependencies are updatable in another way, so this is no longer needed.
