Installation
You can install and use DeluxeChat on both Spigot and BungeeCord.
Here's a small guide on how to install it.
Before you install DeluxeChat on either Spigot or BungeeCord, you have to make some things sure:
- You have the latest version of DeluxeChat
- You have the latest version of PlaceholderAPI (It is a required dependency)
- You made sure, that your server-version is supported by DeluxeChat.
Since DeluxeChat version 1.13.1 is it required to have the exact same version of DeluxeChat on every server and the BungeeCord.
This version adds support for the changes made to the plugin-channels in Spigot 1.13.x and BungeeCord.
Make sure you've read the Preparations part of this page.
Installation is as simple as putting DeluxeChat (and PlaceholderAPI if it isn't already installed) into your servers plugins folder and (re)start it.
After that you install the required expansions for the placeholders you want to use with /papi ecloud download <expansion>, reload PlaceholderAPI and start configuring the formats for your chat in DeluxeChat's config.yml
The installation on BungeeCord is similar to the spigot one, with the exception, that you don't install PlaceholderAPI on it.
You still have to install DeluxeChat on all Spigot-servers that you want it to format and forward chat to other servers.
You'll notice that DeluxeChat won't create a folder on BungeeCord. This is intentional since DeluxeChat will only act as a transmitter between the servers.
The formatting of the chat is still handled by the versions on the spigot-servers.
As a final step do you have to enable the BungeeCord settings in the config.yml of DeluxeChat (On your spigot servers) and in case of DeluxeChat 1.13.1, you also have to define a plugin-channel.
