Emulated system/software
CD-i Lost Ride Differences to real hardware
Incorrect behaviour
First, congrats for having DVC emulation now in MAME!
Some findings concerning emulation accuracy. This is one of the many games, the MiSTer CD-i core is also struggling with.
Either the MPEG video or the base case video has the wrong luminance. This is visible here.
The black square hides the left arrow of the MPEG footage but it clearly is brighter than the black of the video.
To replicate this, play the game until a fork in the road appears.
De-synchronisation of expected frame vs. actually displayed frame.
To reproduce this problem, the game needs to be paused at least once by pressing B1+B2 and then resumed by pressing B1 again. Afterwards the synchronization seems to be wrong. The issue can be amplified by moving the camera around with left or right, since the square will no longer follow.
To replicate this, start the game and pause at least once, wait for the next fork in the road and move the camera around. Notice the difference when not having paused.
The "vehicle preparation intro" of the game has a stride bug on real hardware when showing the MPEG footage. This bug is absent in MAME.
On the MiSTer it looks like this:

This is a photo from a real CD-i 210/05 + VMPEG 4.1 to prove my point:

To replicate this, just start the game.
Expected behaviour
I've added expectations directly into the field above.
Steps to reproduce
I've added steps to reproduce directly into the field above.
