Key state model proposal - Bob Lockhart

• Key state model initial presentation
• Judy F. - Shredded means no way to get to it even via forensic methods
• Multiple - Unique number cannot be reused
• Tim H. - Section 3.1 needs to be updated to disallow re-use of unique identifier.
• Consensus is that once a UUID is used, it should remain unique even after complete destruction/shredding
• Bob L. - Shredded means completely gone including meta-data
• Tim H. - That is not what Judy is proposing per her proposal
• Deleted vs destroyed vs shredded – need clarity

Deprecation proposal - Bob Lockhart

• Deprecation Proposal version 3
• Templates (all of 2.2.6 and all references)
• Operation Policy Name (all of section 3.18)
• Transparent EC key formats (the algorithm specific ones are identical)
• Tim H./Bob L. to create the single structure to replace existing structures before ballot is posted
• Locate function returns 0 values returned successfully
• This is a valid response and may need modification or clarification on response sizes and error handling
• Further discussion is needed before any action taken if any
• What does deprecated mean - Peter Robinson
• Simply the section or language is marked as to be removed or replaced in the next major version - Tim H. / Bob L.
• Suggestion of creating 10 day ballot - Bob L.

• Tim H. and Bob L. to post updates to specification and profiles prior to posting ballot for EC key formats
