Resources User Guide
The Resource fields lets you add more information about the Resource. These include:
Open Resource Meta Fields allow you to describe and add basic information about the resource. You can update the following:
- Resource URL - The URL of the resource. You can also select if the resource is a highlight. May also be left blank because upon saving, the URL of the resource you are updating is automatically added here.
- Age Levels - The specific age level targeted for the resource.
- Instructional Time - The time dedicated for teaching the resource.
- Creative Commons License - The Creative Commons License of the Resource which can be selected from the dropdown.
- Format - The format of the resource.
- Date Created - The date when the resource was created.
- Date Created Estimate - The estimated date when the resource was created.
- Date Modified - The date when the resource was last modified.
- Media Type - The type of resource you are adding. These are the following: images, document, website, audio, and video.
- Learning Resource Type - The Learning Resource Type of the resource.
- Interactivity - The type of interactivity for the resource.
- Use Rights URL - The Use Rights URL of the resource.
- Is based on URL - The URL where the resource is based on.
- Standards - This allows you to link the standards you have added from the
Standards
page.
Author Information section allows you to add more information about the author of the resource.
- Type - The type of author who created the resource: Individual or Organization.
- Name - The name of the individual author or the organization.
- URL - The website URL of the author if they have one.
- Email Address - The email address of the author.
** The
Add button
allows you to add another author for the resource.
Publisher Information section allows you to add more information about the publisher of the resource.
- Name - The name of the publisher.
- URL - The website URL of the publisher.
- Email Address - The email address of the publisher.
Repository Information sections allows you to add more information about the repository, citation, and other related texts to the resource.
- External Repository - The name of the external repository.
- Repository Record URL - The website URL of the external repository.
- Citation - The citation of the resource.
- Sensitive Material Warning - A warning for users if the resource contains sensitive material.
- Transcription - The transcription of the resource.
Related Resources allows you to add existing resources that are similar or related to the resource. Multiple resources can be selected from the Add Related Resource widget.
OER Resources can be any of the following: Image, Document, Website, Audio, or Video.
Allows you to set the resource as Image
. When viewing the resource, it displays the template for Image Resources.
Allows you to set the resource as a Document
. When viewing the resource, it displays the template for Document Resources.
Allows you to set the resource as a Website
. When viewing the resource, it displays the template for Website Resources.
Allows you to set the resource as an Audio
. When viewing the resource, it displays the template for Audio Resources.
Allows you to set the resource as a Video
. UWhen viewing the resource, it displays the template for Video Resources.
