100 Manuscripts in 20 Years

Two decades traced in code and prose
In labs where thought like river flows
A hundred works with a hundred sighs
Some born in fire with some quiet goodbyes
The early days were naïve and intense
Each page a line of self-defense
Yet wonder stirred in midnight runs
Equations danced with rising suns
Some drafts were joyful truth
While others tore the self in two
Rejections stung but taught me grace
Students left a tender trace
Each manuscript is a silent prayer
A bid for truth for those who care
With graphs and charts
With doubt and faith
I carved a path through time and wraith
Not just the data but the soul
The weight of trying to stay whole
Living within this solemn book
Are all the chances that I took

Commentary: I published my second autobiography, or more specifically, my scientific autobiography for the first half of my life. It is titled “100 Manuscripts in 20 Years (2001 – 2020)”. Each chapter is presents the context of a publication and my reflection on it. I chose 2020 as the simply because COVID-19 has subtly changed my research directions.
