Discussion

1. Danny submitting this Ticket for JULES-5.6. Introduces all front end requirements for CABLE. Considering this JAC initiative in 3 stages. The requirements are

i. Front end changes [allowing CABLE to be called meaningfully as the LSM]

ii. The CABLE model (including the interface)[CABLE from where it is called and onwards]

iii. Traversing JULES to the points from where CABLE is called

Part i. should be part of JULES-5.6.

Part ii. Jhan is working on and should be ready for submission to 5.7 in Jan 2020.

Part iii. JULES-5.6 will include a revised and much simplified pathway which we have to traverse - so we have to wait for this to be presented

2. Gab on long service leave until Jan/Feb 2020.

#222 - Climate from zero - we really need to discuss with Ian how he even got into this problem. So far as we can tell you cant run into a problem here unless you are trying to run "climate"and don't have a corresponding restart file. Possibly a more appropriate default setting would be .FALSE.and the code to say: IF running with "climate" ON, THEN check for file. IF not - then STOP and report "get a file or choose start from zero" (Jhan and Martin to follow up)

#223 - nparams in mpicommon do not match - further investigation required (Martin to follow up)

#200 - 4d vars - this is an issue as it is not ALMA compliant - further investigation required (Martin to follow up)

#199 - Tiled vegetation cannot be passed through met file [Fix (Anna says hack - works for site runs) provided, not implemented] - further investigation required

#221 - Fixes to make MPI GSWP3 runs work. Still an issue with the Or flag. - Push GSWP3 fixes to trunk. Create seperate ticket to fix Or Evap issue at a late stage. (Jhan)
